SOC 422 - Native People and the Canadian Criminal Justice System


★ 3 (fi 6) (either term, 3-0-0) Involvement of Native people as offenders and service-providers in the Canadian criminal justice system. Topics include antecedent conditions, policing, courts, corrections, victimization, crime prevention, and special offender groups. Prerequisite: SOC 225 or consent of instructor. Note: Not to be taken by students with credit in SOC 402 when dealing with native people and the Canadian criminal justice system.
